Buck Haworth

Co-founder & CFO

Buck Haworth is the co-founder and CFO of BornTec. With a career that spans over five decades, Buck brings a wealth of experience from all aspects of the financial industry. He is a senior adviser to the firm and responsible for financial operation and strategy as the company grows and expands.

A certified public accountant (CPA) by training, Buck began his career in the financial industry in a trading operation at the Chicago Board of Trade. He formed the first professional audit team at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) before going on to lead a foreign exchange (FX) arbitrage operation for GH Miller, help establish CME operations for Chicago Corporation, and ultimately becoming a spread trader in the CME Eurodollar markets, the largest futures contracts in the world. Buck served for many years on the CME Board of Directors, chairing as many as 15 committees, and was intimately involved in the team that helped the CME with a public offering as the first publicly traded exchange in the U.S.

Trading and financial markets are in my DNA and I’m proud that our children have all chosen careers in finance, with four of the five employed at BornTec. I learned about the very best and the very worst of the financial markets in my time on the trading floor and the board of the CME and we have created BornTec to represent the best of the ideals of integrity, innovation, and collaboration that are the keys to financial success.
